Chest Pain

Hello,
I was formaly an employee of a company and had an unfortunate accident that caused me to get an electric shock of 440 Volts Entering my left hand continuing through my chest and Exiting my right hand. The shock through me back and i dont remember hitting anything. I was blinded for 2-3 minutes and could not see anything. I was rushed to the Hospital and kept over night in fear of my heart stoping. Since that time i have seen many doctors and had a test dont that resulted in 51.53% nerve damage from T2 - T7 in my left chest section. One of the Doctors proclaimed that he wanted to inject a needle in the top of my spine to help to numb the pain from T2-T7 nerves. It is my undertanding that this presedure can also cause extreme pain from the fluid secreting out of even the minut needle point injection hole. Can a doctor or anyone experianced help me to understand a few things. I am uncertain of undergoing this procedure due to the pain outcome risks. I am also unsure what to even look up on the net to find information on my disability. I am 22 years of age. The doctors fear i may never recover or infact if i do it will be in an outstanding amount of time. Please if anyone can help me with my concerns please i am truely gratefull for your help...

I have had multiple nerve root injections for pain control. I have had them in my neck and my lower back. The procedure was not too bad and the I had no problems with anything leaking from anywhere.

I have had epidural injections as well. They are the same type of injection method used to give spinal anesthesia to women in childbirth labor. But they give women novacaine and you will get a steroid, if it was the same as mine. Steroids are powerful anti-inflammatory drugs and they can put them right where you can benefit from them. If they work they'll stop at least some of your pain for up to 6 months at a time.
