Foot pain...

Post a new topicby ShayB on Tue Jul 15, 2008 7:30 pm

Does anyone have pain bad enough in the top of your feet that you feel as though you can feel every single tiny bone in the top of the foot and it feels as though there are many--and it just throbs and throbs...?

Also, do you have lower back spasms so bad that they cause you to bend at the waist in a right angle or sit on a chair for up to 5 minutes or so before it allows you to stand up again???

These are just two of my normal issues with my FMS...

I just am not sure they are actually FMS-related.

Thanks!

I too have severe top of foot pain. Warm water does help as well as a size larger shoe when flare ups happen. Are you on Lyrica? And yes back spasms are a part of everyday life. Mine get so bad that I lay down on my side in a semi fetal position until it passes.
My doc told me this is all FMS, but I was skeptical until I read your post. Glad to know that its not just me!!!

Thank you for your feedback! I am on Lyrica and have been for about 1-2 years (my memory is, of course, terrible). I've been on it since right about when it became approved for FMS.

Weather makes it so much worse, still. With the hurricanes causing so many rain/thunderstorms, I have to use more - my dr doubled my Lyrica and Soma last week.

I find that I have used so much more sick leave this year than any other year since I began with FMS 8 years ago...

I hope you are able to find relief as you continue with your research.

Good luck! :-)

I recently found a zero gravity chair that has heat and different levels of massage. It has become my new best friend!!! Do you find that people don't take FMA seriously? Sometimes people are very condenscending toward this illness. As my sister said if you have a broken leg you can put a cast on it and everyone can see it, but with you their is no outside sign.
